WHAT'S MY STORY?
After joining the Air Force, moving became a big part of my life. With each relocation, I had to find a new home and start fresh. It wasn’t easy, but over time, I started to enjoy the process. I found myself getting excited about picking the right home, imagining the possibilities, and making it my own. Every home had its own story, and I loved being part of creating that story. Each time I PCSd to a new city, it felt like a new adventure.
I rented out my first home after I moved, enjoying the extra income it provided. As I continued to buy and sell homes, I realized that I had a knack for it. I wasn’t just going through the motions; I was good at spotting the potential and making smart decisions. That’s when I invested more intentionally in real estate. I bought homes that I hadn't previously lived in to turn into rental properties. I even dipped my toes into short-term rentals, always looking for the next challenge. I built up my portfolio, and learned more and more about negotiating and finding a good deal.
But moving every few years became more of a logistical challenge after I had my daughter. Each move meant uprooting my family. I had to find a new home, and create a sense of stability. The sense of adventure was taking a backseat to the desire for stability. This became even more important once she approached school age. I remember the stress of packing up and the uncertainty of starting over. I felt the responsibility of making sure my family felt safe and secure in each new place.
As my military career began winding down, I found myself at a crossroads. I had invested in real estate over the years, but something was missing. I wasn’t just passionate about properties. I wanted to make a real difference in people's lives, especially for military families. Like me, they faced the challenges of constant relocation. I knew I did not want to transition to another “nine to five” type job. I was looking for something along the entrepreneurial route.
The internal struggle was clear: how could I combine my interest in real estate with my desire to help others?
Becoming a real estate agent wasn’t something I had planned, but it turned out to be the perfect fit. It allowed me to stay connected to the real estate world while also living out my core values. I realized I could use my own experiences to help military families navigate their moves with ease and confidence.Every time I help a family find their new home or sell their old one, I feel a sense of fulfillment. I’m not just doing a job—I’m making a real difference in people’s lives.
My work as a real estate agent lets me follow my passion for the industry, but it’s more than that. It’s about making sure others feel supported and guided through what can be a challenging process. That’s what makes it so rewarding for me. Through this journey, I’ve realized that real estate is about much more than just buying and selling houses. It’s about helping people find a place where they truly belong, especially those who serve our country.
My goal is to make sure every military family I work with feels supported and understood. I want them to feel confident in their real estate choices.
